Ah, XHamster – XVideos’ filthier older brother. I actually don’t know which one came first, but I’ve just always seen XHamster as the raunchiest of the big five porn tube sites under the same umbrella. I understand that all of these sites technically serve content from the same melting pot, but there’s a lot of variety in the curation, and believe it or not – it’s all driven by the community.
We all know that XHamster, like its brothers, is a site that features videos uploaded by random shmucks like you and me. That’s not news. What is news is that PornHub used to operate exactly the same way, but now that it’s the big cheese everyone’s talking about, the suits behind the company are using that popularity to drive high-quality content through aggressive marketing.
That’s big boy talk for: PornHub is selling out, and now you can’t find raw content on that site because they’re cramming over-produced garbage down people’s throats, and the general public is eating it up.
Why XHamster?
So, what does any of this have to do with XHamster? And specifically, and how does it help you as a webmaster? Oh, I have a point to make, don’t you worry about that. It’s sort of a two-pronged tackle you’ve got on the horizon here. Firstly, you really don’t want to target the kind of people who frequent PornHub because they’re the lowest common denominator. They’re the kind of Toms, Dicks, and Harrys who will fap to any porn video as long as there’s a blonde with huge tits in it. That’s literally 90% of all western pornography. This is bad because it means you’re paddling upstream, and instead of a paddle, you’ve got a soft dildo.
Why fight the lowest common denominator bullshit market, which by the way, is saturated to hell and back when you can coast comfortably in slightly shallower waters with some original content? Again, layman’s terms breakdown: XHamster’s porn is a lot more memorable, and the dudes that jerk off there are a lot more perverted than the dudes on PornHub. That’s why you want to target said perverts. You want to reel them in, hook line and sinker.
The Best Perverts
These are the kinds of people whose psychology lines up nicely with your business model. Think about it. You want the kind of perverts who are desperate to come back for more of a specific type of fucked up porn that they have a stiffy for. If they’re satisfied by, say, anything that features a blonde, you are practically useless to them, and so is your site – they can just look up blonde porn through a search engine.
But, if you’re serving some sort of OG fucked up shit that only you have available in spades and you share that shit on XHamster, well, you’ll get them thirsty for more. That’s where the bait comes in. You watermark all of your videos and ensure that the viewers can clearly see your URL while they’re fapping. Do try and avoid covering the pussies and nipples the whole time, though. It’s OK to have the text fly over the naughty bits now and again, but don’t overdo it.
The whole point of this method isn’t to make people sick of seeing your URL. You want them to remember where the content came from subtly. You also want to catch them at their horniest so that they can follow through the link and back to your site. Keep in mind that they’ll have to type the damn thing out in their address bar – I doubt XHamster is going to let you just hard-code that shit into your description. That’s probably going to get you banned. So, instead, you write it across the screen. Also, try to have a decent URL that is as short as possible.
How To Cash in On Your Smut
There are also some tricks you can run here that are pretty much up to your creativity. There are no rules set in stone as to how you’re going to make the most of your content. So far, I’ve just been working under the assumption that you’re running some form of porn tube or subscription site that has some kinds of porn videos. That’s really the only prerequisite for this method functioning in your favor. Well, that and having the right to spread copies of your content for promotional purposes on free third-party websites. As long as you’ve got that kind of content ready, you’re good to go, my guy.
So, what are the various methods, I hear you ask? Well, you could upload entire videos from your selection and try to spread them out across unrelated tags so that they don’t clump together when the user is watching one of your videos. What I mean is, if you’re going to upload 101 videos from your site onto XHamster, you don’t want all of them appearing in the recommended section. You’d think that you want to spread the word as much as possible, but if you’re uploading entire clips, then no one will be incentivized to leave XHamster and come to you. That’s not good. You want these people back on your site. You need them to feel like they have to type out the URL, remember? That’s what we’re aiming for here.
Trailers Versus Clips
So, consider spreading the videos at random so that only one primo quality clip actually makes it in the hands of one particular potential customer. Another approach you could run with, which is a lot more foolproof, is to upload your entire library in cropped, bit-crushed, and otherwise edited versions of your original videos. The most popular approach is just to upload the first 30 seconds to 2 minutes of your videos, provided they’re much longer than that. Then, at the end of the video, you just tell the viewer that they can find the rest of the video on your site. If it’s free, make sure to note that in the fucking text you put in the video. You don’t want them thinking that you’re going to milk them for money.
This is a great method for people who are trying to peddle unique premium content en-masse. If you’ve bought a porn library and you’re trying to cash out, this is the way to go. You’re basically sharing trailers; you just don’t put the word trailer in the video’s title. Fappers are easily displeased; you don’t want to scare them off.
XHamster Or Bust?
Let’s get back to the shtick, though. Why would you roll with XHamster and not, say, any other site in that same network? Well, ideally, you’d plop your trailers everywhere. I have a ton of auto-posting tools reviewed on this site. All of them serve roughly the same purpose. They get your videos onto as many popular free tube sites as possible at once. It’s a great system. But I need to do my due diligence and give XHamster some sort of analysis compared to other similar sites.
The first impression that really slaps you in the face is that XHamster receives much less attention from mainstream media and the general western porn production environment. That’s code for: there’s filthy smut all over the place, and none of it looks overproduced. Yes, they have been trying to up the ante in recent years, but they’re still perverted as all hell, especially compared to other similar sites.
I personally think that if you’re running any kind of amateur smut or anything that isn’t strictly A-list content, you’ll have a ton of fun on XHamster because people are going to love your shit. Hell, if you manage to build up a sizable library of quality trailers and get a spark of popularity going, that shit will grow like wildfire.
As always, I have also to warn you that it’s a possible outcome that you won’t see a single cent in returns from this approach because the porn video industry is cutthroat and saturated as all hell, so your efforts might be entirely in vain. However, you can’t know until you try.
XHamster is free to use, and it’s also free to upload to. They welcome new content. They’re also not particularly stringent about what they allow on their site. So as long as your porn features consenting adults doing shit that they, well, consented to, you should be golden.
Thousands of webmasters upload their smut to XHamster every day. You should join them for the hell of it. Gauge your own metrics. It could be pointless or a very potent source of new viewers for your porn site. You literally can’t know until you try.
