What are the best messenger apps to communicate with other adult webmasters in 2024?
There’s a pretty common misconception about the average Internet pornographer as a weird, antisocial cretin, masturbating alone all day and night in a dank basement surrounded by naked lady pinups and waifu pillows, never interacting with another living soul besides the Uber Eats guy. While I do most of my computing with just one free hand, I spend much of my waking day communicating with webmasters, photographers, writers, coders, translators, artists, erotic librarians, sexy sluts, and sure, a stray pervert or two. There’s a lot of satisfaction to be gained by running a strong one-man smut-peddling operation, but if you’re into growth, you’re eventually going to need to build a team or at least do some networking.
Thankfully, my perverted friends, the Internet offers some pretty fucking powerful tools for getting at your fellow porn pushers. In the old days, you’d have to fax somebody’s secretary a photocopy of your email address plus your ten-digit extension and proof-of-purchase along with a self-addressed stamped envelope, but they’ve really streamlined the process since then. The biggest question, really, is which of the ten million text and video chat apps you should use for team meetings, pornstar interviews, arranging link exchanges and showing your assistant your penis. There’s a lot of crap out there, offering insecure connections, limited utility and broken features.
I’ve made this list of the best messenger apps on the market, and I’m sure you’ve already heard of a lot of them. You’ll find similar feature sets among all of them, a lot of those features being exactly the things I look for in a chat app. They’re free to use and work on multiple platforms, so you’re not going to have an issue just because you’re on an iPhone and your coder’s on a Windows laptop. Lightning-fast communication is a given, and these services have proven to be reliable as hell, keeping you in touch whenever you need to be. A lot of these apps even have built-in speech-to-text for faster communication without having to wash the semen and lube from your hands.
These apps are scalable as hell, too. If you need to have a massive meeting with everyone on your team, their parents and their siblings, that isn’t going to be a problem. File-sharing is baked in, whether you’re sending nudes, instructional videos or .doc files of your latest bukkake-themed beverage review. High security is standard as well, with automatic encryption, so nobody intercepts your whorehouse blueprints and steals your dream.
How do messenger apps work exactly?
You’ll have to do your own homework if you want a really technical explanation of servers, global Internet traffic and end-to-end encryption. I can tell you the basics, though. These messenger apps will let you instantly communicate with individual people or groups using the same app. Some of these apps even have web versions, meaning your team members can join the meeting even if they’re out of town and using their cousin’s sticky laptop. They work on any operating system on pretty much any Internet-connected device. You can send text, pictures, video and other files instantly and securely. Welcome to the Internet.
Are messengers apps free?
Yep. The basic features are always free, and most of you are only going to need the basic features. Now, when I say “basic”, I don’t mean you’ll have a limited feature set like stripped-down messaging or small group sizes. Unlike a lot of the more specialized services I list here at PornWebmasters, like analytics trackers or heatmap tools, messenger apps pretty much have to give you everything to stay competitive. That’s because shit like article rewriters and backlink checkers is built for small demographics, but pretty much everybody with a phone or computer uses messengers.
That said, there are a few premium services available for those who need them. Skype, for example, will let you call actual phones anywhere in the world and have your own number people can reach via actual phone, but it’ll naturally cost you a few bucks. There’s also WhatsApp Business, a premium app that rolls business profiles and goods/service listings into their usual messenger features.
Are messengers apps secure?
Security is definitely one of my major factors for inclusion on this list. These text messenger apps all have tight, built-in features to protect your privacy, typically by utilizing end-to-end encryption. Basically, the app turns your message into secret code before it even shoots through the Internet tubes, and then it’s decoded on the other side by your recipient’s app. This all happens instantly and invisibly, so nobody has to stare at some computerized gibberish before it gets translated into people talk.
If you dig into the security pages or privacy policies on the sites I’ve listed below, you’ll find a lot of the same promises to keep your data and communications safe, secure and private. The bottom line is that they understand how much everyone values their privacy, pornographers and pastors alike, and they’re committed to helping you maintain it and keeping your business.
Can the government spy on my private conversations?
What the fuck are you chatting about that’s got you so worried? Are you trading nuclear secrets or just worried somebody will think you’re a pervert because you shot that movie with the stepmom and stepdaughter banging each other up the poopers with silicone fists? While these messenger apps don’t give the cops a private line to come eavesdrop on any and every conversation, they will absolutely roll over on you if they get a subpoena. The apps are designed with privacy and security in mind, yes, but they’re all put out by big, law-abiding corporations that ain’t about to martyr themselves over your porn site.
Unless you’re wearing clown shoes and doing really sketchy shit, you’re not going to have to worry about any of that shit at all. These chat apps are popular worldwide not just because they let you communicate instantly from anywhere on anything, but because they also keep your messages between you and whoever you’re sending them to. The rich feature sets are just some extra icing on the cake. If I find any other secure instant messaging apps that meet my criteria, I’ll be sure to list them below.
