Moz Link Explorer

Moz is an SEO platform that focuses on new and better ways to analyze and improve SEO for marketing purposes. Their link explorer is what we'll be looking at today since it focuses on an aspect of SEO that I think might just be the most important, backlinks. We all know about them; we all want them, but how do we analyze our website and the backlinks leading to it? Well, that's what tools like link explorer on Moz are for. This tool is powerful, and it will give you an excellent analysis of any website, domain, page, URL, or whatever the hell you throw at it. We should talk about it some more then, right?
Analyze backlinks towards your website
But first, a little info about Moz. The platform was first known as SEOmoz, and it was just a blog and online community about SEO. In 2007 they started developing tools, including their link explorer, and in 2009 they had their first 5000 subscribers. In 2013 they released some great tools for social media campaigns, analytics, and so on, but in 2016 they did a 180 and went back to their company's core: SEO. Search engine optimization is what they have always done best, so they decided to stick with that, and I can respect that kind of radical decision to be at the top of their game.
Now, when we talk about their link explorer, it's simple to use. You need to be registered and all, but after that, you can get a free analysis of your backlinks on your website. However, fixing them and tips to do that is behind a paywall, as you might have imagined with a prominent SEO company like Moz. To get that initial analysis done, all you need to do is go to Moz.com and navigate to the section about their link explorer. Enter the URL of the website you want to get link data for and create your Moz account. After that, you're going to get all that free data you were looking for, with the caveat that you can't really use it all that well unless you have the rest of the Moz suite on top of it.
Explore backlinks for your competitors too
Once you get Moz Pro, you'll get their link explorer as only one small part of their entire SEO suite. The link explorer comes bundled with plenty of other features, and we're going to talk about those. First of all, you'll be able to see the links to any site. It seems simple enough; with link explorer, you can see all the links to a website, but you aren't just limited to your website. You can search any website. You can monitor and review inbound links to know why the hell you're ranking so low or how to keep your advantage and stay at the top of the search results if you're already there.
But since you can look at the backlinks for any website , you can also look into the inbound links of your competitors. Suppose you can copy what they're doing and then add a few more backlinks from high authority sites; you can surpass them on all search engines' search results, especially Google. You'll get an entire makeup of your competitors' link profiles, and that will help you realize where they're getting those valuable clicks and how the hell they're doing it in the first place. And you know what they say, good webmasters analyze, but great webmasters steal, or something like that.
Broken and spam links checking
Next, you have the broken link checking. If you've ever had a porn site, you'll know that affiliate marketing always leads to broken links on your page as some websites go under because the guy who owns them stops funding them or whatever. Well, with link explorer, you'll never have a broken link on your website again. Thank Moz for that! Also, you can see the spam score of your backlinks since spam backlinks might even work negatively on your overall SEO, and you definitely don't want that to happen. You want to increase the quality links pointing towards your site because that will work magic for the traffic you receive, translating to earning a lot more money.
With Moz's link explorer, you can also discover link-building opportunities to see who links to your competitors but not to you. This is called link intersect, and it will give you the perfect overview of exactly which sites link to your competitor porn sites but not to you. Then you can reach out to them and give them better affiliate marketing deals than your competitor to win them over. But all of this leads nowhere if you don't have great content. Do you know what kind of content is good? No? Well, don't worry about it; Moz and its link explorer have you covered. They'll show you the top SEO content in the field you're competing in. This, in turn, will let you know in which direction to focus.
Analyze anchor text for new keyword ideas
You’ll also see new and lost links. This will give you a good sense of whether or not someone you had a deal with has decided to fuck you over by deleting the links towards your site on their site. You'll also get to see new links if you accidentally get some towards your site for whatever reason. This doesn't happen all that often with porn sites, so don't count on it. Still, knowing if someone you were doing affiliate marketing with isn't working in your favor can be of great help. I mean, you might be on a wild goose chase if you keep making deals with sites, but they delete your link the very next day.
Another great feature that Moz's link explorer has is analyzing anchor text. This is great because you can see the anchor text that links to your site. This is something that you don't often see with this kind of tool. When you know what people are using as anchor text when linking to your site, you can consider using that text as a keyword more often. You can pack your site with those words, and you can also bid on those keywords when you're making a digital marketing campaign on Google Search. With all that in mind, you can better position your website on Google and other search engines this way.
Check the overall authority of your entire domain
Finally, the last feature link explorer has on Moz is the domain authority checker. This will look at the success metrics such as page authority and domain authority and spam score to compile how well your website is doing as far as its authority is concerned. And as you might know already, your website's authority has a lot of influence over your SEO. The better the authority of your website, the better the SEO. Trust me; you are going to want to concentrate on these things a little bit. They are going to count a lot towards your site's performance on search engines.
If I had to say one thing that I don't like about Moz, it would be that they aren't transparent about their prices. They keep saying FREE TRIAL all over the place, but they don't seem to have a pricing page, at least from where I'm sitting. I ended up on the account creation page for the free trial, and only then did I see (in smaller and hidden text) that the month after your free trial is to be billed $149, and that's not including taxes if there are any. Now, I don't know if you know, but that's a lot for just some SEO services.
