Ad Spy Glass! This is an amazing tool, plain and simple. I’ve seen a lot of alternatives with similar features, but AdSpyglass is very narrowly built around the idea of improving your ad success across different networks. I have a ton of ad networks listed on this site and I very much expect you to give most of them consideration. There are many great offers that can net you a good chunk of money over time if you’re on top of your integrations, optimizations and content quality. It seems so straightforward on the surface. You start running ads through a particular ad network and you see profits. Then, you make sure people see these ads. But, there’s so much more you can do to squeeze out extra potential.
AdSpyglass is pretty straightforward about the way they want to save you money and increase your profits. Right on their homepage, you’ll see some demo graphs that sell the pitch. The idea is, you have many different ad setups running concurrently and you want to swap them out when they underperform.
Hell, they go as far as to say that you should only run one ad network’s worth of programs at a time – the one that is making you the most money at any given moment. I wouldn’t go that far with it, especially if you’re under a contract that obligates you to at the very least run some ads, some of the time. But, AdSpyglass seems to disagree. They want to run the most optimal ad campaign and nothing else, until it gets swapped out by a better alternative.
Automated Integration
AdSpyglass gets all up in your business. They boast an automated system that hooks up to all of your ad campaigns without you having to fiddle with any pixels. You apparently won’t have to copy or paste any code snippets into HTML pages. I don’t see how this could be the case, considering you have many different ad campaigns across different companies. They each come with their own preferred methods, so I’m honestly curious how this is automated.
Either way, they list a ton of popular ad networks that they connect to by default. Among these, you’ll see a ton of recognizable platforms like PopAds and PropellerAds. They also have “all major ad networks” casually thrown in on the side to make a point that the big boy monopolies are also supported. So, I’m guessing you can hook up Google Ads without any complication. Apparently, they’ve got 35 advertising networks already on AdSpyglass. What this means for those that aren’t integrated, I’m not sure.
I guess you could work backwards from AdSpyglass. First, get an account with them, then add the 35 listed networks and hook them all up to your site. Fuck it. Thirty-five ad networks instead of one.
They Promise Profits
I’m sure you can’t quote them on this if they underperform, it’s all just marketing fluff, but if their boasts are anything to go by, they can increase your profits by a fuck-ton. They have this neat little calculator on their home page that lets you input your daily traffic and your current daily income. Then, they flat out just throw you a number – how much you could be making if you were using AdSpyglass instead of manual ad optimization.
I put in $100 daily income with 100,000 daily visitors and they told me they could increase that profit from $3000 monthly earnings to $5250. That’s a ridiculous increase in profits and their program doesn’t even cost money. We’ll get to that, though. They’re not free, if that’s what you’re thinking.
One Network to Rule Them All
AdSpyglass isn’t technically a tool, even though they come with a multi-network management dashboard. They’re more of a platform of their own. They’re an ad network of ad networks. You’re not supposed to use them on top of other ad networks; you’re supposed to use them instead. They replace these ad networks, because they draw in ads from them, directly. So, it’s like second-hand marketing. You’ll still get ads from PopAds, but they’ll come straight from AdSpyglass. They’re literally trying to discourage end-users from connecting to ad networks directly. It’s … an interesting concept. If it really does take the effort off your hands, it’s a great idea.
Naturally, they had to consolidate ad formats so that they could serve these bad boys automatically. That’s why they have over a dozen of them. There’s pop-unders, display banners, native banners, instant messages, direct links, in-video ads, sliders, push notifications, in-page push notifications and something called interstitial. Apparently, those are ads that come at you once you navigate away from a page or close an app on your phone. You see the ad, then the app closes. Fun stuff. So, you can dedicate space on your sites to these ad formats, then AdSpyglass will pull in the appropriate marketing materials and insert them.
Better Analytics Dashboard
Some of the ad networks that are supported by AdSpyglass have dashboards that can’t be beaten. Others… do not. AdSpyglass is the compromise down the middle, in that their dashboard is optimal and comes with all the tools you need to sort through your ads and make judgment calls. Keep in mind that you actually need the dashboard tools less than you normally would. They do most of the work for you, remember? Either way, you get over 13 filters for your campaigns with 14 groupings. So, you’re free to sort through these campaigns any way you want, giving you elevated control.
This wouldn’t be impressive if you’re migrating over from Google Ads. But, what if you’re using a less popular ad network that had a janky-ass interface, but served good ads? Well, AdSpyglass will give you access to those ads, straight from this beautiful and simple dashboard. I actually prefer it to Google Ads, since that one got reworked to hell and back. It’s simple; it’s crisp, it’s clean. I can find what I’m looking for. I wish other marketing dashboards were built with this kind of simplicity and ease of access in mind.
Naturally, you also get a ton of analytics data for end-of-cycle reports and generally staying on top of your earnings. Ideally, you shouldn’t have to make any judgment calls, but it’s still nice to see the exact difference that AdSpyglass is making in terms of your earnings. They plot all of the different campaign potential and earnings for you so you can see why you’re running specific ads at a given time. If you’re the kind of responsible boy scout who checks on his marketing campaigns daily, you’re going to have a great time using AdSpyglass. Five minutes is all you need to catch up with your daily marketing activities, thanks to these reports. They’re very concise and informative.
The Pricing
I haven’t seen this sales model in recent history. They have three tiers and they’re all free. Well, they don’t cost cash at least. They skim off the top … of your hits or profits. I get the profits, sure, but the hits? Well, the RevShare tier is their first and recommended tier. They call it default. It has you giving away 10% of random traffic hits. I genuinely don’t know what this means for your bottom line, but if their promises of increased profits are legitimate, who the fuck cares.
Their ASG-Infinite tier is similar, but they just take 10% of your earnings instead. One way or another, you give them 10%. Again, this is fine if the profit is really delivered.
Finally, they have the Enterprise tier and they have custom conditions available for what they call traffic whales. This may or may not include you personally, but you should ask for a quote either way. Don’t just create your account right away. Talk to their sales department and see what they recommend. It’ll tell you a lot about their business practices. You can cross-reference the information they give you with offers from other ad networks. At worst, try them out for a month and see how you like them. It’s not like you’re obligated to run their ads forever. You’re not on a paid contract – they skim off the top, remember?
So, try running ads through AdSpyglass for a while and compare your income to how you were doing previously. You’ll have to chart out that difference yourself. It’s not like they’re going to import your past experiences. Just be careful of the placebo effect. Moving onto AdSpyglass might increase your revenue because of the inclusion of new networks and not because of their general business model. So, don’t placebo yourself into believing they’re making a difference when they’re not. Be vigilant.
