TheHun Blog
blog.thehun.net
Blogging is nearly as old as the world wide web, and there are probably millions of them out there at a minimum. Sure, this can be a great way to get exposure for whatever you are promoting or selling, trying to compete can be a royal pain in the ass. So, why go it alone when you can get it from others, maybe people like TheHun. Who is he, whence did he emerge, and how might his platform help you? Continue perusing this lil' article…
Who Is TheHun And Where Did He Come From?
Apparently, emerging right after Y2K, TheHun e-store sprang onto the scene soliciting all sorts of delightful goodies to satisfy the libidos of ladies and lads all over the world. They seemed to have stagnated from for a while doing the same thing over and over. However, in 2016something changed. I am not sure if the domain changed hands but whoever does (or now does) own TheHun added a blog to the brand.
According to his blog's tagline, TheHun is the kind of guy who writes "a series of useless articles with random – even more useless – facts!" Now that may seem like a turnoff to most of you, but continue on reading, I promise it'll be worth it.
The Lack Of Spam And Other Digital Distractions Is Nice
While the design is admittedly on the plain side, but the first thing that I did find that was very much appreciated was the fact that this website seems to be devoid of ads. And by 'devoid' I mean there is nothing, no banners, no spam, no redirects, nothing to distract your readers from whatever content is being hosted on this particular platform. Now, the look of this site leaves something to be desired, but that is something that I will get into towards the end.
Get Interviewed By TheHun
There are a decent number of people who will interview people in a variety of occupations on their own forum. However, those tend to be specific to the sort of content that the publisher usually posts about and whatever the prospective interviewer wants to talk about or promote.
You don't often see feminists hosting interviews with guys like me.
However, as I've already pointed out, TheHun is far more flexible and does seem to have a penchant for those who operate in the space of adult entertainment and related businesses. In fact, his most recent interview was done with Talk121 which is an adults-only chat service provider. The interview itself is not bad and indeed has a good flow to it.
So, if you want to be interviewed for whatever services (sultry or otherwise) that you are providing, then I am certain that TheHun would be willing to take you on. Given his apparent taste in porn, based on the videos he promotes on his site, I am sure it would help if you were a pretty young lady.
This Website Is Indeed Affiliate Friendly
Even though TheHun hosts his own e-store chocked with adult DVDs and other such items, you can promote your own affiliate programs which is rather unusual in my experience. Even those websites that do promote other people and their products have issues with any form of affiliate linking. Not so here, apparently. And yes, amazingly, you can openly advertise your (or someone else's) porn site as well.
They Even Host Posts About Random, Raunchy Topics, Too
Get ready to read about some strange and fascinating shit.
I am not sure how many of these are attributed to the webmaster and how many are guests posts, but there is some quirky shit that has been added to this blog over time. There is one quickie that talks about swearing African grey parrots, and more interestingly, there is another post about a work of art that resembles a 108-foot vagina carved into the earth.
Seriously, look it up, the post is…fascinating.
Besides those gems, there is Hun's signature post on rumpology of Bottom Reading, supposedly a field of science that is the ass-staring equivalent of astrology and palm reading. Again, that blog too is interesting to read about.
I put all of this out before you demonstrate that just about no topic is off-limits here, and it looks like the stranger and sexier the better. So, all of you jazzed up and zany writers may have found someone to publish your works of erotic esotericism.
I Do Have A Few Reservations About This Blog
One of the aspects about this blog that gives me pause is the fact that it has a lack of draws to retain audience attention. While not structurally broken, there is nothing, aside from some of the neater blog posts, that would make me want to stay on it very long if I were a casual visitor. I think that this is probably the reason why popular posts only get twenty Facebook likes or so.
But let it be known that I don't (usually) just bitch without having a list of constructive critiques to make.
As I said near the top, the design is on the plain side. Having a clean white background is fine and all, but it would help this site out a lot if the design(s) splashed some color on it here and there. While I am at it, I would incorporate a mascot based on the domain's namesake.
It only makes sense, right?
What I find exceptionally strange is that there is hardly any additional media incorporated into any particular post. In fact, other than the promote picture, there are usually hardly any other media in the forms of pics, clips, or GIFs. It is so boring I would even welcome the occasional highlighted text.
I am not sure if this is a lack of inspiration or just laziness, but this needs to be fixed. If I were you and wanted to network with TheHun I would submit as much media as you deem appropriate and ask that he incorporate that into your post.
This Site Has It's Ups And Downs, And I Ultimately Think…
I do not really have much of a strong opinion on whether you should or should not network with this Attila of the Internet. The opportunity seems fine, especially for those of you who have 'unusual' interests in researching and writing. But be warned that the audience is small.
Still, if you can get a backlink and/or an affiliate connection out of it, it seems like it would be worth it to me. As for me, I am giving this one three and a half hands out of five.
