Seeking Blog
blog.seeking.com
When I first heard the word 'hypergamy,' I thought it was a synonym for hypersexual, but it turns out I was way wrong. As it turns out, Seeking.com specializes in catering to this form of courtship, and they define that term as...
“
hy·per·ga·my (hīˈpərɡəmē)
n. the action of marrying a person of a superior class or caste.
”
To put it into common but more detailed terms, hypergamy is a fancy way of describing people, particularly women, who are looking to date those who make more money than they do. That technically is a sort of a glorified sugar daddy-baby lifestyle, but there is a little bit more to it than that. The participants are all expected to dress to look their best. There is no shortage of the celebration of elite socialite lifestyle, and generally a celebration of high-society life.
It is not too much to understand but to get used to the particulars, you are going to want to read the blog. But before you commit to it, you should go through this review to see if it is worth it.
I Really Like The Regular Blog Posts
Alright, the blogs themselves are fine, great even. It seems like a good chunk of the archive, I'll say maybe a third, revolves around how to leverage the tools that Seeking's dating program offers and also how to understand hypergamous culture. Clearly, this is only going to mean much if you are using this site, but I guess if you like reading about different sexual kinks, this site could come in handy.
The other uploads are a little more useful for a wider audience as they include reviews of other dating apps, ways to improve your dating game, and tactics to maintain your relationship. Obviously, most of that sappy crap isn't going to do much for a committed bitchin' bachelor such as myself. But for those of you who are or are trying to become domesticated.
When it comes to how they read, the prose used is not exactly riveting, but the writing is not bad or anything. I wish more posts were made in a calendar month, but the few added are fine enough. Plus, the previous uploads should keep you pretty well occupied.
Not to get dark or anything, but they also have a shocking number of uploads about human tr*fficking, so if combating that real degeneracy, then this is a blog to be on.
There Is A Lot Of The Blog That Is Broken, Though
Alright, the main version of Seeking is quite a bit different when examining the structure and programming of the site. It is not unnavigable if you are trying to access most of the blogs and everything, but it is damn tedious. Sure, there is a search engine, and it works alright, but no categorization section for the different types of posts.
They don't even tag their posts, from what I can see. The closest thing you'll get to a directory to related posts is a pithy three suggested posts. Given how nice Seeking.com looks, this is terribly disappointing but not the end of what saddens me about this blog's look.
Furthermore, critical page links are broken. Ironically, this includes the link to the “Community Guidelines CONTENT REDIRECTED” blog and the other two top blog posts. More than that, the Reviews link is not working right now. But the failures do not end there.
Most of the rest of the Seeking domain is compatible with several other languages and will translate on most pages, including some of the "pitch" pages. Not so, that is, when it comes to the entire blog section, which you think would be the reason they would make this site translatable to more than half a dozen languages.
Strangely, They Are Not Looking For New Writers Either
It is also remarkably weird to me that it looks like nearly all of the writers are anonymous. If perhaps only a few of them were attributed to 'Seeking Contributor,' I would not make too much of this. But it looks like most or maybe all of the posts have been written up by unidentified persons. Even stranger than that, it looks like this blog is not looking for new writers, paid or voluntary.
There Is Not Much Else To Say At This Point
I suppose I should bring up a saving grace of this site because it performs as well (or as badly?) on all of the major web browsing applications and does about as well as on different devices. That is something I suppose, and it is nice that there really is not an advertisement problem, too.
That still does not make up for the severe structural problems which should have been fixed a long time ago. The deciding factor for me was the quality and number of blogs, which I find to be acceptable but not astounding. While the main version of Seeking.com still does get five hands from me, the blog is hardly worth that ranking; instead, I am giving this one a mere three hands.
PornDude likes Seeking Blog's
- They do have a nice collection of blogs on dating using Seeking.com
- Besides focusing on the site, they do reviews of related topics
- From what I can tell, this website works well across devices and apps
- Adverts are not really a problem, and there are no redirect issues, either
PornDude hates Seeking Blog's
- Too many of the links are broken, and there are too few search features
- None of the blogs are categorized or tagged from what I see
- The language translation feature does not work on the blog
- All of the writers are anonymous, and they are not taking new ones
