Model Hub! Have you ever heard of PornHub? Of course, you have. Ever heard of ModelHub? No? You should have. It’s the same fucking site, but they have a different landing page. They used to be called PornHubModels, but they rebranded. I’m not sure why. It doesn’t really matter. This is the destination for cam-whores who want to be inducted into the PornHub hall of fame. There isn’t a big difference between signing up as a model on ModelHub and just making a PornHub account and slapping your content there. It’s roughly the same process with the same payouts. They just went out of their way to brand on the side for people who want an OnlyFans alternative. I think this is good practice. They have a large knowledge base for solo porn producers to help them get off their feet.
Also, they’re welcoming to women, men and transwomen in those distinct brackets. I know that it’s industry standard at this point. I just don’t understand why trans girls get their own section, but trans men do not. I guess it’s to protect all the sensitive dudes out there who cringe if they see a penis in their lesbian porn. But, the same dudes will hop over to the trans side of content without batting an eye. They really care about this kind of category segregation. Whatever, you get three categories and you’re welcome wherever you think you’d fit in. So, if you’re a dude looking to jack off on camera and get paid for it, this is the site for you.
Multi-Network Posting
Also known as “Export to Partners”, this feature lets you funnel all of your unique videos to the entire PornHub network. These are all sister sites owned by some millionaires out there who are raking in the big bucks. If you use the partners' program, you get your videos on PornHub, YouPorn, RedTube and Tube8 all at the same time, with the same settings and revenue model. You’re free to turn it off, if you want PornHub exclusivity, but I don’t see the appeal in that.
The more people see your videos, the better. I love the fact that you only have to upload once to get your videos on five different sites. Did I say five? Yes, ModelHub also hosts the videos, though I wouldn’t depend on them getting a lot of traffic. This site’s mostly here for you, to get you into the industry. I don’t know a lot of people that fap on ModelHub.
Ad Revenue
The standard revenue model is the one that pays you for the traffic you bring in. You upload free videos, people watch them and you get to skim off the top. The ad revenue is also the only monetization model that they don’t list an actual percentage for. I guess this is because ad revenue is unstable and dynamic. They probably explain it to you in detail once you get in touch. Geographic data also factors in heavily when it comes to ad traffic worth, so that’s something to keep in mind. The bottom line is, you can make money from the ads that PornHub runs regardless of your cooperation, but they track how much of that traffic came in thanks to your pussy or cock.
You could, in theory, run your own site and upload your content there. But, keep in mind that you get potential viewers from PornHub without lifting a finger. All of these people are already hard with titties and dicks on their mind. Once they’re already on PornHub, you stand a high chance of getting recommended to them, especially when your videos are new. Also, it won’t hurt to shell out for a high-quality camera and try to learn a thing or two about framing and editing. Most successful cam-whores on PornHub make their money on their thumbnails alone. I’d suggest you check out Miss Banana or Xev Bellringer for some inspiration. These girls really have the whole PornHub thumbnail game down.
Tips & Fan Club
The wording on ModelHub is a bit ambiguous, but I think I’ve got it figured out. They say you keep 95% of the profits, less(sic) 15% processing fee. I believe they are trying to say that you get 95% of the profits, minus 15% for processing. So, you earn 80% of all the tips you get from your fans.
Speaking of fans, the entire ModelHub format encourages you to build a sort of fan community centered around your model channel. You get a ton of opportunities to brand yourself with creatives. By creatives, I mean pictures of your body. Try to make it sexy, but don’t give away the ending. Save the high-resolution asshole photos for the actual content. Wear skimpy lingerie in your banners and profile pics. Maybe add some still shots from your videos. Don’t give anything away for free.
As for the actual fan club, well, I’ve found that most of the cam-whores on PornHub that consistently turn a profit go out of their way to interact with their fans in the comments section. It just works. Chronic masturbators are more than happy to tell these girls what they want to see next. Just follow through with their requests, as long as they’re within reason and ping the users that made the said request. They’re extremely likely to want to donate to the cause if they see that you care about their expectations.
Video Sales and Custom Vids
You can sell videos on demand through ModelHub. It’s absolutely amazing. Combine this with what I said about the fan club and you’re basically running an OnlyFans, but with a significantly larger audience and free outreach from having your videos recommended to casual viewers. You’re building an audience and you’re making money at the same time.
You can’t run your channel on paid videos alone, though, so save this feature for the really impressive stuff. Say you’re not particularly into anal. Say your asshole’s so tight that it takes you two hours to even warm-up for a mini anal bead insertion. Save that kind of action for the paid videos and make sure to gather demand for it before you post it.
Plan your paid videos ahead. Try to get a feel of what your regular viewers want. You get to decide how much a single video will cost and get to keep 65% of the full price. So, try to price it appropriately. Don’t get too crazy with it. If you’ve got 100 loyal fans whose interests overlap to some extent, you’re better off making a paid video catering to them specifically, rather than trying to impress everyone. One hundred likely payments are better than a thousand free previews.
Learning from the Community
ModelHub is really trying to build a community here; you can tell. They’ve got all kinds of contests that you can enter, though they don’t really list the terms and conditions for them on their landing page. As far as I can tell, they just add more money on top of the money you’re already making. The top earners for a given month get cash payouts. This month, Xev Bellringer made $1000 in contest money for being the site’s top earner. I’m not surprised. She’s not even close to being the hottest bitch on the site and she’s getting on in years, but it doesn’t matter. She caters to her audience and she works hard on her videos. Plus, she’s got a lot of acting talent. When Xev Bellringer sucks cock, she really makes it seem like there’s nothing else in the world she’d rather be doing. You can learn from her.
The fifth highest-earning babe here, called Jasmine J, is also an interesting lesson for you. She barely does any hardcore shit, but she’s fifth. HotKinkyJo is eighth. In case you don’t know, HotKinkyJo is known for being able to insert watermelon-sized dicks up her ass. She prolapses her entire colon out onto the table on camera for money and she’s getting beaten by some Asian chick who plays guitar and pisses outdoors.
Learn from these people! You don’t have to win the contest to draw information from it. These girls all have very different styles and they pretty much show you, in practice, how you can innovate and break through. Find your own style and make it work for you. There’s an audience for every niche and every fetish. It’s up to you to figure out how to perfect it. Then, build a loyal fan base and profit your ass off.
