Bent Box! Unlike most of the other media marketplaces I’ve got listed under this site, BentBox is retro and classy. It’s not that the other websites I’ve got on here are low-brow; it’s more that they’re focused on regular smut peddling. These days, your average porn marketplace tries to encourage a sort of social media approach to porn. They want young models to sign up and make a career for themselves on their sites. BentBox is certainly within that wheelhouse, but they’re going at it with a different design. Their website doesn’t remind me of other porn marketplaces. It doesn’t give off the same vibes.
I guess the main reason that BentBox sticks out is that they have an actual proper website that they designed themselves. What do I mean by that? Well, compare BentBox to any of the major porn marketplaces out there and you’ll notice that all the major players are trying to emulate Twitter, Instagram and the like. They want it all to seem familiar and easy to get into.
It’s almost like they’re trying to replace conventional social media with smut social media. I could get into that. Though, I don’t have any problems fapping on Instagram as it is. There’s a lot of porn on there. Either way, BentBox is the porn marketplace for the simple pornstar. You make videos or images, you slap a price tag on them and you send them on their way. People buy them, you make money and the world just keeps turning around and around.
Selling a Box
As part of their unique branding, BentBox put a lot of focus on what they call boxes – they’re basically package deals. As a creator, you’re welcome to make images and videos and upload them to this site for sale. But, if you bundle them, in any way that you want, mind you, you can sell them as so-called boxes. You decide how many items go into a box and how you want to price it. This is a great way to package your content into an actual product that you can market any way you see fit. You’re free to cross-post about it on social media, Reddit, whatever. You can post links back to your BentBox and use it as your main store location. You can think of it as you being the merchant and your BentBox profile being your stand where you peddle naked pictures of yourself.
I personally think this is just a marketing ploy as other sites also have these kinds of package deals, but they’re labelled differently. For example, getting a subscription for a particular model on OnlyFans nets you all of the shit they’ve made before. You can view all of their videos and pictures retroactively, even though you’ve just signed up. Well, that same logic applies here, with a caveat. OnlyFans doesn’t let you download the files that you buy. Instead, you’re paying for a subscription that allows you to view them. BentBox works a bit differently. When you buy a box, you own the box. You can download it to your computer and keep it forever. No subscription obligation. It’s your smut that you paid for. It’s the same as buying a DVD. They’re not going to come to your house two years down the line, break your legs and steal it back.
It’s a Mixed Bag
There’s such a difference between the average picture and the average video on this site. Night and day, I’m not kidding. The images all look like they came out of Sapphic Erotica. High quality, expensive DSLR shots that look like they could give Hugh Hefner a run for his money. Plus, the babes are all top-notch. They’re the kind of girls you sell a testicle for, just so you can give her the other one. Then, there are the videos. They look like homemade Polish sex tapes filmed on a potato webcam in the late 90s. I don’t know how they set up this disparity. Is it that pictures come with a higher expectation of quality? I don’t know. Maybe videos are just more popular and the common folk are more encouraged to fap on their potato cams. I’m not sure.
Either way, I can tell there’s a huge market here for high-quality artistic shots. I don’t just mean high-quality asses. I mean high-quality photography, the likes you learn about in college. Lighting, moods, environments, makeup, the works. Hell, they ever go out of their way to add in-depth of field effects to some of these. I’ve never seen so much quality photography under one porn marketplace. That is, unless we’re talking about an actual porn studio that specializes in this shit, like Sapphic Erotica.
All the Potential in the World
You can make any kind of career you want for yourself. There are no limits. Remember the old adage. Porn is everything that is legal, but not allowed on mainstream television. That means that if you want to make an entire compilation album of you riding a lawnmower while you’re deep-throating a stuffed gerbil, you can. It’s a free world. Maybe you want to make a video of yourself fishing down by the lakeside… naked, while you’re riding a horse cock dildo. Who knows? I’m not here to tell you what kind of porn you make. I’m just here for the encouragement.
When it comes to the genres you can profit from, I’ve found that you don’t have to make any decisions in advance. You can test the waters and see how your potential fans react. Try to swing a wide net and see what catches. Then, when people start spending money, you can cater to their interests directly. Luckily, they’re more than eager to leave comments on your profile, asking for more.
So… just make more of whatever the fuck makes them hard. If they want more feet pics, make more feet pics. Why the hell wouldn’t you? You can get really kinky and send them feet pics that you take out in public. Now that’s really edgy. Whatever makes the fans hard is what you should be making.
Don’t be afraid to branch out into other niches, but at the very least, group your content in a way that’s transparent. You don’t want the foot fetishists accidentally buying a set of your tit pics when you know they don’t give a crap about that. Sell the people what they want and brand your content appropriately.
Pretty Decent Rates
On the one hand, BentBox lets you keep 100% of the asking price for all of your content. On the other, they add a fee on top of that for the buyer. So, in other words, they’re exactly the same as every other marketplace, except they’re trying hard to seem superior. They don’t even tell you how much they add to the price. You have no idea. I can’t even check. I see many products here, but how can I know what the original asking price is? I can’t. At the very least you know you’ll get what you asked for, but that doesn’t help you do profit calculations if you’re trying to price your content, because the customers aren’t seeing what you’re asking for.
Artsy Fartsy Place
As far as I can tell, BentBox is trying its hardest to stick out as the artistic version of all the popular porn marketplaces. They’re very much focused on tits, asses and cocks, so you’ll see a lot of cumshots. But, they’ve got a lot of contests and categories that focus on art. So, nude chicks with dildos in their asses, but like, in a forest. Wow. Much art. Either way, it’s working.
I think this is how they raked in all the users with the fancy DSLRs. I’m seeing a ton of aspiring artists here. There’s also a lot of Photoshop work, as far as I can tell. Image editing is a big deal here. So, there are the chicks that paint themselves to look like elves, and then there are the babes that hire their simps to edit the green skin onto the photo in post. Either way, this is a great home for creatives. It’s like Deviant Art, but with profits to be made.
Referral Program
You get a unique referral code with your profile, so naturally, you can bring people to the site and earn 5% of everything they make. There’s a minimum payout on referral cash of $50, but that’s low enough as far as I’m concerned. If you can refer tons of people to the site, you get a ton of money over time, forever. There’s no stipulation here that says you get left out of the rain down the line. You can really make some mad money by referring people to this site.
