Clips 4 Sale! It’s all in the name. Sell your clips on Clips4Sale. What they lack in an original name they more than make up for in content amount. There are so many clips on this site that trying to load them all froze my browser. It’s my fault; there are millions of them. Of course I can’t see them all at once. On top of that, they literally have every fetish. And I mean, every fetish. Ever wanted a POV video of a girl crushing you because you are now an ant? How about a video of a girl stepping on food, barefoot? Oh yeah, I know that gets me going every time. Maybe you want to get weird with it and watch some dishwashing videos? But after you look at the videos and the categories, you realize you’ve struck gold and suddenly, you don’t care about the design anymore. Not when you realize they have albino fetish videos. I’m just going to keep taking the piss out of these categories as I do the review. Don’t mind me. There’s a category called “Riding Lawn Mower”. Ok, ok, let’s get into the review.

The Monetization Potential

Let’s get the important stuff out of the way first, before I start freaking out about the fact that “crutches” is a porn category on this site. You upload clips and images on this site under your profile and they get sorted into the appropriate categories. Do not forget the tags. Also, do not fuck with the tags. Viewers are not going to like that. Just enter the tags that apply. Don’t tag your videos “cellulite” if you don’t have cellulite. People come to that category to see some fucked up legs. Fat-shaming for the win.

You can set whatever price you want for every video and image set and you can check out other creators to get some sense of how content is priced, but there’s no real rule. You can charge $100 for a 5-second clip if you want. No-one’s going to buy it, but you’re free to try. You get to keep 60% of all the profits made on this site, with the exception of tips and tributes. These come at you at 80% a pop. So, if anyone throws money at you out of the goodness of their cocks, you get to keep most of it. Comparing this to PornHub’s model offer, which is roughly identical, they offer you 65% and 80% for videos and tributes. So, number-wise, they’re almost the same. PornHub can afford to tack on another 5%, but I’m not sure if this will be worth it in the long run. You’ll have to find out for yourself.

Supportive Community

For a website that looks like it was put together over a weekend by a dude following a Skillshare tutorial on web design, Clips4Sale has some amazing support for creators. They’ve got an extensive blog that has many articles written by experts, including a bunch of creators from the site itself. You can learn a ton about how you can promote yourself and plan content from these articles.

I picked one out of a hat and it was educational as fuck. I actually learned something new. It was a three-paragraph article by some chick that exclusively makes coughing videos. Apparently, she coughed during one of her solo masturbation acts and the public went wild. They wanted to see more of it. So, she turned a weakness into a strength. Now she coughs naked for money on the internet. What a life, am I right? This could be you. Read the blog, educate yourself and figure out what you do best.

If there’s a category for coughing, there must be a category for whatever dumb shit you’re good at. Maybe you could play with pogs on camera and every pog you score; you shove up your ass. We can call that category “pog insertion”. You can cross it with “adult diapers” and add your hair color, so it’ll be something like Adult Diaper Wearing Pog Insertion Blonde Gone Sexual Gone Wrong. I’d watch that video just to see what the fuck it’s about. It could have a lot of earning potential.

Marketing Yourself

This is where shit gets kind of difficult. PornHub might be a better choice just because of the marketing. Say what you will about Clips4Sale, but they do not have the traffic that major porn tubes get. Under a major porn tube, you get recommended to people just by being frequent and having good video quality. On Clips4Sale, well, it’s a bit harder than that. Sure, they try to help you out by letting you brand yourself and having a profile page with a bunch of stills of your snatch. But, how do you get people to actually visit you?

Well, you’re probably going to have to go far and wide. Reddit’s a good start. There are tons of subreddits that will encourage you to post previews of your videos, leading people back to a purchase destination. You could also check out some porn forums and imageboards. You’re free to market there. Hell, you could post free previews on PornHub and lead them back to your Clips4Sale page. Just as long as you don’t try to double profit, you should be fine. Check with each affiliate’s rules and write them an e-mail. Or, just read the blog and find a ton of articles that teach you how to market yourself. The world is your oyster and so is your pussy. Spread it open and see what catches.

Support and Reliability

One thing that PornHub doesn’t have, as far as I know, is a 24/7 phone, chat and ticket support system for all of their models. ModelHub has a ticketing system, but that’s about it. They don’t even guarantee instant replies. Clips4Sale, on the other hand, will be there for you any time of any day, no matter what. They guarantee it. On top of that, they boast reliable payment systems that they’ve been using since 2003. Sounds good to me.

They also have standard content protection with fingerprinting that ensures that stolen videos will be taken down if they’re reposted elsewhere. This is the first step to combatting piracy and it’s good to see that the site is taking an interest in keeping your content monetized. Piracy really hurts up and coming porn performers.

There’s also this little snippet on their site that states that they have marketing tools to help you make the most of your content and promote yourself, growing your fan-base. That’s great and all, but I have no idea what they actually mean by marketing tools. Do they have a dashboard? Are they offering built-in PPC? I have no idea. This is one of those features that they hide behind the membership wall. As I’m currently not jacking it on camera on Clips4Sale, I have no idea what these tools look like. Shoot them a message and inquire about it.

Why Clips4Sale?

Honestly? It’s about the categories. They seem to allow creators to enter the industry with any kind of monetizable fetish, especially ones that don’t exist yet. The idea is, everything’s a fetish if there’s a demand for it. So, if you want to make naked videos of yourself fishing by the lake, you can start the “fishing” category and be a porn pioneer. Currently, the closest thing to fishing on Clips4Sale is fishnets, which is just not what I had in mind. I meant, you should get naked, walk down to a pier, pop a squat and snag a wild one. Then, you can kiss the fish. Or not. I don’t fucking know. I’m not a porn pioneer; I’m a reviewer.

As far as I can tell, individual uploaders don’t technically have their own page, but studios do. I’m not exactly sure what that means for you. I think that you can technically be called a studio even as an individual. But, a lot of these people who are listed as studios don’t seem to have their own pages. So, I’m guessing that the landing pages are optional and they’re a sort of marketing and branding opportunity. I wholeheartedly suggest that you make one of these bad boys and really spruce it up.
