Upwork
upwork.com
If you have a lot of written content and need it to be translated into another language, well, there aren’t many venues out there that are as famous as Upwork.com to be the perfect solution for your problem. Now, I know what you’re doing. Don’t try to tell me that you want to give free content to people from another country, blah blah blah. I know that you’re trying to penetrate another country’s local porn market, and you need a lot of localized SEO to do it. I’m going to say just one thing, though; that’s a genius move! There is a lot of profit to be made!
Translate all of your important SEO content
I like this approach because you factually don’t need to create any new porn content, and you don’t need to create a new porn site. All you need to do is translate the existing site into a different language and then have a lot of SEO content to back that language up so that you rank high in Google searches. Some people would do the idiotic thing of trying to penetrate big markets with languages such as Spanish or German. But we’re smarter than that, aren’t we? I mean, if you have the resources for that, too, by all means, try yourself out in those languages, but there’s a much better way.
If you pick out smaller countries with untapped potential in the porn market, then that’s how you can make a lot of money fast if you translate a lot of your written SEO content into their language. Because very few people in those countries even have SEO content sites, you’ll be ranking near the top or even at the very top the moment you post all that stuff. All you need is a good translator who speaks the language. And what better place to find people like that than to go to Upwork.com? This place is full of great translators who can do a great job at getting all your content to the top of the search results. And you know what that means, right? More traffic, which in turn means more money!
Hourly rates are what you should look at the most
There are a lot of things to look at when you’re browsing through translators on Upwork. One of the main things is their job success rate, money earned, whether they are top-rated or not, and of course, their hourly rate. I usually look at the hourly rate first because there’s only so much that you’re willing to pay someone to translate porn articles. I mean, sure, if you were translating some very important shit, then I could understand you spending like $70 an hour on that. But you’re translating porn SEO text, so let’s be honest here for a second and set our expectations a bit lower. You’re looking at $10 per hour for your translations TOPS. At least that’s the rate I would be looking for if I were you.
Remember that some more complex languages such as south-east Asian languages will go at higher rates, so you can expect to pay a lot more if you want to penetrate the Asian market. In my opinion, it’s not really worth going into those regions because they already have a lot of porn sites, believe it or not. You might think China doesn’t have many porn sites because of the state’s restrictions, but it couldn’t be further from the truth. In my opinion, you should look at smaller European countries because they have a lot of potential with advertisers who are willing to pay higher rates to be on your website.
Find top-rated freelancers for your needs
When you look at the job success rate, you shouldn’t only be looking at 100% success rates. If you want to lower those rates slightly, you should look at 90-95% success rates. Having the success rate at such a high level, you can expect the job to be done pretty well, and the 10-5% of the unsuccessful jobs are probably some stuck-up clients that were being very nitpicky. For our needs, we should aim at eliminating the nitpickiness from the equation. In general, you should look for high success rates, but don’t get too stuck on the 100% mark because it’s really not important.
Now, the top-rated badge is something you should be looking at. This is the top 12% of the talent on Upwork, and these people know what they’re doing. They’re also not looking for huge contracts, with most of the contracts being under 5000 dollars. These profiles have earned at least a thousand dollars over 12 months, so they are ideal candidates for small-time adult writing gigs over a long time. If you have a lot of content to translate, then you’re going to need to hire someone for a very long time, as translations can’t happen overnight. It takes a lot of time and effort to get these things online, and you can look at these translations as an investment.
Set up filters that you care about the most
Other badges such as rising talent, top-rated plus, and expert-vetted shouldn’t concern you. These aren’t adequate for your needs or what you’re trying to accomplish. Next up, you have the filters. When you look at the filters, you first need to define your category as “translation.” After that, you have the specialty. In that filter, you can choose between language localization, tutoring, legal translation, technical translation, general translation, and even medical translation, though we won’t be needing that one. You can manually enter the locations you’re looking for in terms of the translated text, and you also need to choose the option “freelancers” since we’re not looking for agencies at all here.
Then you have the hourly rate options: any hourly rate, $10 and below, $10 - $30, $30 - $60, $60 and above. The job success filter has the following options: any job success, 80% and up, 90% and up. You have a few more filters to look at, such as earned amount, hours billed, English level, and other languages. At the end of the day, you’ll be setting these filters, and you need to choose how much of an emphasis you’ll put on each of those filters. The more something is important to you, the more you should be specific with the filter that will affect that thing. Take the time to set those things up.
Great user experience for clients and freelancers
In the end, I guess the last thing I want to say is that Upwork.com is a pretty trusted website for getting and hiring freelancers. So if you need to go to a site where you know you’re going to get a bunch of that text translated, you can always trust Upwork to get the job done. It’s a site with one of the highest proportion of freelancers on the planet, which means that you have many people to choose between. The user interface is good for clients, and the freelancers also have a nice user experience. It’s a site that has gone through many iterations for the best look.
The design of Upwork.com is incredible. The potential for getting the job done is high. So, when you combine all of these things, what you have in the end is an excellent website for getting shit done in a friendly user experience for clients. The only problem is that you can’t always be sure of what kind of freelancer you need, and you can’t always count on Upwork to keep your investment safe. Also, in case of a dispute, they will not always be on your side. So, I guess there is also a little bit of luck involved in getting a good job done with translating text.
