CrazyShit
crazyshit.com
Well, I’ve reviewed this site in other contexts before, and now I am reviewing it for webmasters and trying to squeeze some value out of it. CrazyShit is a great website if you’re just looking to unwind with some fucked up clips. But, if you’re looking to squeeze this particular lemon for a payout, it’s going to be a bit of a bite and chew into hard gravel. It’s not that CrazyShit doesn’t have potential, per se. I mean, it’s a free, community-driven version of eFukt. So it should be a slam dunk for all porn webmasters, right? Eh, sort of. The problem with CrazyShit is that there doesn’t seem to be much of a pull for webmasters to use the site to upload their own shit, and I’m left here wondering why.
Ok, hear me out for a second. Most, if not all, of the videos on this site, were uploaded by CrazyShit. I mean, CrazyShit, the user, not the website. The guy behind the site uploaded the videos on the site. Ok, we’re clear on that, moving on. So, this tells me that the guy (or gal, I’m not judging) is trying to keep this place afloat at any cost. But, I have it on good authority that CrazyShit has a ton of quality traffic and leads from people that keep coming back for more interesting juicy smut content with a fucked-up twist. So, you’d think there’d be no need to struggle to keep the site going.
User Content takes Second Stage
Except, I didn’t say they were struggling, now, did I? I just said that they’re working hard to keep the site afloat. That in itself doesn’t mean anything negative. It could well be the case that they’re just happy to grow their site, and they have a keen eye for quality videos that draw in the clicks. What gets my goat is that this site allows all and any users to upload content, yet I can’t find any user content on the main page. Why is that, you might be wondering? A very astute question, my guy.
Well, the user-uploaded content has its own little section tucked away at the bottom of the main navigation bar. It’s the last one down, labeled as “user submissions.” Yeah, that’s where the user-submitted content goes. You have to go out of your way to find it. This effectively renders the entire user submissions section as an afterthought. The focal point of the website is the content that CrazyShit makes by themselves, for themselves.
The Usersub is a Cesspool
On the one hand, this cripples the power of user-submitted content in terms of reach and exposure. On the other, it guarantees quality. These dudes really do have an eye for quality smut. The user submissions section is littered with painfully unfunny political humor that’s trying to be edgy but comes off as cringy. I am not amused. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that half of these uploaders are 12. Naturally, that’s against the terms of service; I’m just trying to poke fun at how painfully juvenile the humor is in the user-submitted section.
There are a few gems here and there, of course, but for the most part, it’s a fucking cesspool. That’s why I’m skeptical about the effectiveness of using CrazyShit to market, well, just about anything that isn’t CrazyShit itself. So I’ll just assume that you’re running your own site, or maybe you’re running some sort of file-sharing business with smut packs. Either way, you can theoretically use CrazyShit to spread the good word and share some free samples of your content, but I genuinely can’t set the bar any lower for you in terms of expectations – I don’t think you’ll knock it out of the park with this one.
There is Potential
On the flip side, if it turns out that I’m wrong and you do somehow manage to use CrazyShit to promote yourself to the very top of the fucking internet, well, kudos to you, my guy, and color me impressed. I would personally give this site a pass if I were considering a marketing destination for my porn empire but to each their own. If you’re going for the broad net approach to exposure, then no site is a bad site since you’re aiming to post on every site. In that case, you don’t have to think long and hard about the quality of submissions on this site. Just toss your shit this way and hope it lands on someone’s face. That analogy kind of got away from me, but you catch my drift – dial down your expectations.
I just have to repeat this in case the dudes behind CrazyShit read this review and think I’m badmouthing them or something – I like this website. I enjoy their content. They’re hilarious guys. I’m just skeptical about the marketing potential of their user submissions, given that they’re tucked away in a particular little corner. That’s all I’m trying to say. I don’t think that CrazyShit is doing anything wrong in terms of its structure. If anything, they’re making sure that the only viable marketing on their site is the kind that keeps people on their site.
None of the user submissions float to the top of the main home page, no matter how popular they could be. But who knows what kind of gems could be hidden within those near-infinite pages. The hottest porn in the universe might be hiding inside CrazyShit’s user submissions section, and we would never find out because they don’t float those results to the top. Oh well. We all have to make concessions in life, am I right?
Give it a Shot
Let’s get past the negativity and just assume that you’ve decided, for one reason or another, to market your shit on CrazyShit. Naturally, you have to look at the user submissions, analyze the content, and either copy what they’re doing or try to upstage them. Both of those approaches are perfectly acceptable. Down the vein of being a copycat, you should consider content either in an image or video format and features some combination of hilarious and arousing. As long as the image is particularly hilarious, the community seems to make exceptions and give leeway to the sexiness factor. At the very least, try to keep the content you post original. Make sure it’s something that they haven’t seen before, and they’ll like it.
Now, if you want to upstage them, you’ll need access to some truly fucked up porn, like the shit they get up on Assylum.Com or those Italian videos of chicks eating cum-filled condoms. Find something original that strikes that chord, slap your watermark on it, and upload it to CrazyShit. Hopefully, you’ll get some back traffic on your site. The same goes for your file-sharing network if you have one. Slap the URL on, pray people will type it into an address bar, and assess the cost to benefit ratio. The price may well be non-existent since it doesn’t cost anything to post on this site, but you are spending your time, and time is valuable.
Auto or Manual Posting
You could use some sort of auto-posting solution to get your content on CrazyShit quicker and en-masse, but I don’t know how welcome that practice is on the site. In theory, it shouldn’t be a problem, but you never know. Either ask the site owners or give it a shot and see if you get banned. I’m not your daddy, and I won’t police you on this. But it’s worth a shot.
My estimates might be low, but I’m not clairvoyant. I’m making an educated guess, given what I know about the browsing behaviors of people with boners in their hands. It’s unlikely for a male fapper to move past the home page unless he’s bouncing across thumbnails. Besides, CrazyShit is built in such a way that the natural fapping instinct just moves you from one official video to another without ever exposing you to the user submissions. So that’s the current that you’re paddling against.
All I can say is good luck to you. It’s going to be a tough uphill battle, but it won’t cost any actual money, so what the hell do you have to lose? Give it a try and see if it works for you. Hell, maybe CrazyShit will like your smut so much that they’ll offer you a golden spot on the home page. But don’t hold your breath for that one. I think they’ve got a great thing going, and they aren’t exactly looking to experiment.
